Faro

Hailing from Egypt, FARO has been residing in NYC for 5 years. With a distinct Mummy trademark, he has steadily been working his way up the ranks of street art.

His work has gained notoriety for his participation in shows such as Urban Mantra, NYC and a solo show at Pursuit Gallery in Burlington, VT. FARO’s steadily gaining exposure both on and off the streets and is featured in “Bombin’” magazine (March, 2008) and working with bands such as Ninja Sonik, Japanther and Horse the Band.

FARO finds inspiration from artists Os Gemeos and KAWS. FARO created the iconic Mummy out of a love for drawing characters. His icon has taken on metaphorical significance; it is a reflection of his Egyptian nationality and takes on a playful appearance, mimicking cross-culture ironies and social issues.

FARO loves painting, as it gives him a vehicle for influencing others and inspiring youth. He currently works as a graphic designer and illustrator from KR INK, and has an arsenal at his disposal
